The 2024 GMC Yukon and Yukon XL are behemoth SUVs, with truck-like utility and maximal luxury. Launched in 2014, the "XL" in Yukon XL stands for "extended length." The most significant difference between the GMC Yukon and the aptly named Yukon XL is the length of the vehicle. The 2024 GMC Yukon measures 210 inches and rides on a wheelbase measuring 120.9 inches long. By contrast, the larger 2024 Yukon XL is 225.2 inches in length with a 134.1-inch wheelbase. Each version is offered in five trims—the SLE, SLT, AT4, Denali, and Denali Ultimate. Yukon buyers will find three engine choices for 2024, including two V8s and a turbo diesel inline-6. All Yukon models come with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
