GMC equips the Sierra 1500 with a 2.7-liter turbocharged high-output engine standard, which produces up to 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque—and it only goes up from there. Power tops out with the 6.2-liter EcoTec3 V8 engine, producing up to 420 horsepower. An 8- or 10-speed automatic transmission offers optimal towing while maximizing fuel efficiency. 

Options like a driver-selectable full-locking differential, Adaptive Ride Control, and Brembo® brakes offer improved performance. Off-road options from AEV® like a front skid plate and rear differential plate arm the Sierra to go off-road while protecting vital drivetrain components. With the AT4 and AT4X trims, off-roading comes as easily as towing a camper, car trailer, or boat.
