2021 GMC Terrain

Overview
The 2021 GMC Terrain combines top-of-the-line technology and driver-assist features, a roomy interior for both passengers and cargo, and excellent safety ratings. Features other automakers might think of as optional, like automatic emergency braking, forward-collision alert, lane-keep assist, and automatic high-beam headlights are all standard safety features in the 2021 Terrain. An intuitive 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ is also standard, and individual driver profiles can be fully customized. Those driver profiles can also be transferred to other compatible GM vehicles.
The Terrain offers a turbocharged engine and the capability to tow up to 1,500 pounds. There are eight available exterior colors, along with three trims: SLE, SLT, and Denali. Inside, passengers enjoy a plush cabin and plenty of head- and legroom to stretch out. With its refined safety features, the 2021 Terrain has received solid safety ratings from both the NHTSA and IIHS.
The Perfect Ride For...
Drivers who want it all. With 39.7 inches of legroom for passengers, a fold-flat load floor, a 1,500-pound towing capacity, and the ability to hold its own off-road thanks to its Traction Select System, the Terrain is equally suited for long trips with the family and hauling cargo over unchartered roads.
Drive and Handling
A single engine option is available for 2021: A 1.5-liter with 170 horsepower and 203 lb-ft of torque. This powertrain is available in either front-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive models. Paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission, the Terrain reaches 0-60 mph in just shy of 7 seconds. Whether configured with FWD or AWD, the 2020 Terrain comes equipped with the StabiliTrak. This innovative system allows drivers to make performance adjustments quickly and easily for optimized handling and efficiency based on road conditions. Front-wheel-drive Terrains feature Normal and Snow Modes, while all-wheel-drive models come with FWD, AWD, and Off-Road modes. Both models come with an available Tow/Haul Mode.
